Susana Cardona - Painter in Ibiza, digital artist and contemporary photographer
My name is Susana Cardona and I'm a painter in Ibiza,as well as a digital artist and contemporary photographer. Through my work, I seek to portray everyday scenes, traditions, and real moments that form part of our identity. I'm interested in the beauty of simplicity: gestures, light, details, and the emotion found in the everyday, especially in the landscapes and daily life of the island.
Trabajo desde San José (Sant Josep de sa Talaia), en Ibiza (España), un lugar que inspira mi forma de mirar y crear. La atmósfera mediterránea, las costumbres locales y la luz de Ibiza están presentes en mis cuadros y proyectos visuales, que nacen del entorno y de lo que siento que merece ser recordado.
Cada obra está realizada por mí, desde la idea inicial hasta el último trazo. Me involucro completamente en el proceso creativo para que cada pieza refleje autenticidad, sensibilidad y carácter. Para mí, pintar no es solo reproducir una imagen, sino contar una historia y transmitir una sensación que conecte con quien la observa.
Mi estilo se basa en lo costumbrista, porque creo en el valor de nuestras raíces, en la importancia de preservar la memoria visual y en la fuerza que tiene mostrar quiénes somos a través del arte. Junto a la pintura, desarrollo proyectos de fotografía digital y arte digital, que amplían mi lenguaje creativo y me permiten explorar Ibiza desde nuevas perspectivas.

Mission
The young Dolores, a means of transport for years, her function was to cross the rebellious sea between two islands, to unite them, loaded with stories, without knowing that one day she would be part of ours.
Vision
The Joven Dolores has been a reference for all Formentera residents, given that it was the first car boat, and its history was what led me to carry out this work.
Assessment
Their feedback was very positive, for which I am very grateful, and now this work looks beautiful in a place accompanied by part of its history.
My big events
My career as a visual artist began on Formentera, the island where I was born and which remains an endless source of inspiration. It was in this magical place that I held my first art exhibition, where I presented a collection of original works created using mixed media: charcoal, ink, and oil on canvas and paper.
This exhibition marked the beginning of an artistic career deeply connected to nature, the Mediterranean light, and the cultural roots of Formentera. My early works capture pure emotions, rendered with noble materials and authentic expression.
Since then, my evolution as a visual artist has been constant, but that first exhibition remains the most intimate reflection of my connection to the island and to art as a means of expression.
